Mena church holds evangelistic meetings in Mexico
Mena — (Ark.) Mike Easton of the Mena Seventh-day Adventist Church has a passion for helping people and for evangelism. On February 19-24, he held evangelistic meetings in Nuevo Progresso, Mexico. There were nightly meetings with the daytime hours spent in visitation. At the close of the series there were 11 baptisms. The meetings were coordinated by Nick Garza with help from the East Gulf Conference in Mexico.
Mike met Nick Garza when he and his wife, Laurel, went to Tampico, Mexico last August with Tony and Gina Murrell as part of the Share Him global evangelism team. Mike held meetings in Maderio while Tony held meetings at Roma.
During that trip they met members of the Chachalacolo church who needed a place to meet. The church had raised $3,000 dollars over the last five years. When their need was presented to the Mena church, $7,600 dollars was raised to help them purchase a piece of land. Mike was able to view the property while he was in Mexico.
See what you can accomplish when you agree to “Share Him” Mike plans to hold another series in Mexico later this year.
