Mena — (Ark.) When Pastor Tommy and Kahne Blount came to pastor our church, members were excited because Pastor Blount has experience as an evangelist. The church board had already been looking at different evangelistic options, and now plans could be made to hold meetings with their new pastor. After several months of preparation, the meetings began on March 3 at the Christian Motorcycle Association auditorium in Mena.
Excitement was high on opening night as over 100 members and guests packed into the auditorium. For 23 nights, the word of God was presented, and members took part in all the work surrounding the event. After 12 nights, the meetings moved to the church.
The series ended on April 1, and 21 precious people committed their hearts to Christ and made decisions to join the church by baptism or profession of faith. The church feels unanimously—it is good to have a pastor who evangelizes.
