How many Emojis are hiding in the March 2017 Record?
Welcome to the Annual Southwestern Union Record Summer Camp Contest
Text messages and social media have given us the opportunity to express ideas or emotions in electronic communication through the use of small digital images or icons called emojis. They originated in Japan in the late 1990s and have become so popular worldwide that they now are included in the keyboards of Apple and Android devices. At the Southwestern Union we know that both young and older members are using emojis to communicate on a regular basis. In this special edition of the Record we are featuring summer camp throughout the Union territory. Knowing that campers, staff and parents will be discussing their summer camp options with their friends, we placed some emojis throughout the issue that are representative of summer camp! These could be nature, activity, object or smiley emojis!
Find all the emojis for a chance to win a FREE week at summer camp this year! Once you’ve counted them all up, submit your answer along with your name, age, gender, phone number, email address, and the name and location of the church you attend and you could win a free week at summer camp!
From the correct submissions, we will randomly select one boy and one girl from each conference to receive a free week at summer camp. All entries must be received by April 15, 2017. Submit your entry online at by filling out this form or e-mail your entry to email@example.com. You may also mail your entry to Summer Camp Contest, Southwestern Union Record, P.O. Box 4000, Burleson, TX 76097. Winners will be notified individually before camp starts and will be announced in the July issue of the Record.
