Camp Meeting Draws 3,000 Attendees

Southwest Region Camp Meeting celebrated worship, fellowship and 19 decisions for Christ.
July 16, 2026
Nineteen people made decisions for Jesus at this year's camp meeting.

Approximately 3,000 members and guests gathered at Lone Star Camp for the 2026 Southwest Region Conference Camp Meeting, celebrating a week filled with powerful worship, dynamic preaching, heartfelt fellowship, and life-changing spiritual experiences under the theme "Rooted. Revived. Reaching."

Pathfinders paraded through the city of Athens.

From the opening service to the closing "Amen," the campground was alive with praise. Morning Manna devotionals, practical workshops, inspiring children's and youth programming, the Pathfinder Parade through the City of Athens, the annual Watermelon Festival, Comedy Night with Jonathan Slocumb, and an unforgettable Sabbath evening concert featuring John P. Kee and New Life Community Choir, Gayle Jones Murphy, Stephen Manders and Decree, and the Southwest Region Mass Choir made this year's gathering one to remember.

The greatest celebration, however, came during the evening worship services. Night after night, the Holy Spirit moved as heartfelt appeals invited attendees to respond to Christ's call. By the close of camp meeting, 19 individuals had made decisions for Jesus.

The impact extended far beyond the campground as thousands more joined the experience through the camp meeting livestream, connecting from across the Southwest Region Conference territory and beyond.

As attendees departed, they carried home more than cherished memories. They left rooted more deeply in God's Word, revived by the power of the Holy Spirit, and inspired to continue reaching their families, churches, and communities with the Everlasting Gospel until Jesus returns.
