Texarkana members worship outdoors during church campout.
June 11, 2026

A Texarkana Seventh-day Adventist Church Family Ministries outdoor church service and campout began with Friday evening fellowship and sundown worship at Rocky Point Campground on Lake Wright Patman. The event was led by church members Zach and Samantha White.

Those camping overnight included Zach, Samantha, Anna, Zoe, and Cynthia White; Raul and Martha Garcia; and Billie Johnston III, who stayed in a tent despite the threat of thunderstorms.

Participants awoke to a beautiful Sabbath morning as more than 30 additional church members joined them for Sabbath School. The adult class was led by Antwion Collins, while Billie Johnston Jr. and Samantha White led the youth class.

The worship service at the campground amphitheater followed, beginning with a song service led by the Diaz family and continuing with a sermon by Zach White titled “God’s Power in Creation.”

Virginia Arnold prepared and served a chili dog lunch for attendees. She also prepared Frito chili pie for those who remained for the evening meal.

Other activities included hiking, crafts for the youth, and fellowship throughout the day.

The weekend provided an opportunity for church members to enjoy Christian fellowship while appreciating God’s creation.
