A New Sabbath Keepers Motorcycle Ministry Member

An outreach program that caters to the motorcycle community.
December 21, 2020

NORTHWEST ARK. – On Sabbath, Sept. 26, 2020, the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of Sabbath Keepers Motorcycle Ministry visited the Murfreesboro Hispanic Church in Murfreesboro, Tenn., to share this unique ministry with its members as well as “patch-in” their newest member, Mike Ross. Mike learned of this ministry when he visited our booth during his time at the Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wis. last year. Mike was not a member of the church at that time. One of the requirements of being a part of this ministry is to be a member in good standing in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Mike was baptized into the Adventist Church in November last year and pursued his desire to become a part of this unique ministry.

The Sabbath Keepers Motorcycle Ministry is an outreach program that caters to the motorcycle community. We set up booths at motorcycle rallies and other related events to provide an opportunity to share the gospel of Jesus with anyone who has a desire to learn of Him. We hand out literature such as Great Controversy, Desire of Ages, Steps to Christ, and many other articles of literature that we hope will lead people to Jesus. We also perform hospital visits, have prayer for individuals, participate in Toy Runs, prepare Food baskets for those in need, etc. I want to congratulate Mike on his decision and pray that God will use him in a great way in the Murfreesboro, Tenn. area.

The next day, Sunday, the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of Sabbath keepers motorcycle Ministry also hosted a Bike Rodeo for the children of the church and the community. We use this as a way to educate the children on bike safety and to show them that not all bikers are “bad” people as some would have you believe. It was a fun day for all. Some even attempted to ride the Wacky Bike, a reverse steering bike. There were 18 children in attendance plus the parents.
