Growing Together

BURLESON, TEX. – Church leadership teams from the Southwestern Union are invited to the Growing Together Summits held Sept. 14-15 in San Antonio or Oct. 5-6 in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. #GrowingYoungAdventists (GrowingYoungAdventists.com) is an initiative of the North American Division (NAD) to encourage local churches to love next generations well. Each union has a set of representatives who will help move the initiative forward and introduce the program. The representative for the Southwestern Union is Texas Conference Associate Youth Director David Craig; A. Allan Martin of the Arlington Seventh-day Adventist Church is spearheading the initiative for the NAD. Pastors Guadalupe Montour and Benjamin Lundquist will teach core commitments that draw younger generations into the vitality of church life and afford seasoned generations vibrant relationships and meaningful growth.

“Let’s dream and innovate together,” exudes Montour. “Churches need not grow cold and old; let’s grow together!” Montour is a certified speaker for #GrowingYoungAdventists and the associate pastor for Young Adult Ministry at the College View Seventh-day Adventist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has a degree in Theology and Religion from Atlantic Union College, where she also served Assistant Chaplain. In 2013, she joined the Southern New England Conference, serving in the Youth Ministries Department.

Lundquist is also a certified speaker for #GrowingYoungAdventists and one of the leading voices in young adult ministry in the Adventist Church with over 20 years of ministry experience. He is passionate about inspiring young adults to become growing followers of Jesus and leaders for His cause. He is a pastor, speaker and leadership trainer, and serves as Young Adult Ministries Director for the Oregon Conference and as Young Adult Ministry Coordinator for the NAD.
