Backpack Ministry

SAN MARCOS, TEX. – The San Marcos Seventh-day Adventist Church hosted a back-to-school program that started out as a time to pray for students and teachers as they began a new school year. The public relations/marketing department at Central Texas Medical Center was willing to help our efforts, so we also called Target and spoke with a manager who loved the idea. With everyone’s help, we were able to give away 40 backpacks to 40 kids. For struggling families, it was an incredible financial lift. We were thankful that we allowed God to work through us to provide for those in need.
