Mayor Visits Living Springs Community Guest Day

Irving Mayor Albert Zapanta visited Living Springs Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sabbath, June 20, during the church's annual Community Guest Day. His visit marked the first time members had formally invited city leaders to participate in the event, reflecting the church’s desire to strengthen relationships with the Irving community.

Along with the Mayor's Office, Living Springs invited representatives from the Irving Fire Department and City Council. The church viewed the occasion as an opportunity to build partnerships that support the broader needs of the city.

During the program, church leaders shared information about the ministries of Living Springs and how they serve families, youth, seniors, and residents throughout Irving. The visit also gave leaders an opportunity to discuss future collaboration with the Mayor's Office, City Council, and other civic departments.

First Elder Rotimi Abidoye welcomed Zapanta to the platform on behalf of the congregation. Zapanta later addressed the congregation, recognizing the church’s role as a place of worship, fellowship, and community service.

The Living Springs church has served the Irving community for 12 years with a mission rooted in faith, fellowship, service, and community impact. While Community Guest Day has traditionally focused on inviting friends, families, neighbors and other guests, this year's event expanded that vision by welcoming civic leaders for the first time.

As Living Springs continues to grow, we are committed to being more than a place of worship. We hope to continue working alongside city leaders to support families, strengthen neighborhoods, and contribute to the well-being of Irving and surrounding communities.
